Working 9 to 5

This summer seems to be super busy. This week is VBS and I'll spend my week wrangling 300 preschoolers at Crocodile Dock. Stay tuned every day this week as I tell you what we've been doing this summer, a little at a time.

Father's Day weekend we went to Pigeon Forge to visit the Medium Nanny. She is working at Dollywood for the summer. When she left our house in May, she had high hopes of getting to work in a 50's diner because she would maybe get to wear a cute pink and black uniform.

She got stationed at some kind of lumberjack snack station and this is her uniform. We went to pick her up at Dollywood and from far away, I didn't even recognize her in these cool Dickie brand overalls and plaid shirt. She's holding her employee mug. She knows the price of every size drink at her station, and I can assure you that she is very annoyed when you ask her the prices over and over and over again and still can't decide what you want. She has Sunday and Monday off but works 9-5 the rest of the week.

I worked at Dollywood too one summer and LOVED it! I was a "shop clerk" in the now defunct cut glass shop. Ah, those were the days! Hope she has some fun along the way too. You might check with her, when I was there we could get free tickets to other theme parks. We went to Biltmore House, Six Flags and Opryland for free. Well, I guess she couldn't get free tix to Opryland, hunh? Ha!

Yes, I'm sure Dolly has them working 9-5. Now I can't get that song out of my head!
I think she looks cute. I'd be happy to have that comfy outfit as my uniform.
