Breaking News Rocks Local Church

Big news for all of my TSC readers...

This is the kind of church news that people will be talking about for years to come. The kind of news that causes the parishioners to get on the phone and talk. And TSC is just like any good southern baptist church...news travels fast. Why, it was just yesterday afternoon that I received this blog tip via an email from an "unknown" source.

The email subject line stated these very words: "Girl, I've got something for you to blog about!"

I think the "unknown" source knew that things have been a little slow around here and that I needed this tip. It's just like when those National Enquirer paparazzi people get a phone call tip saying where Brangelina is...JOURNALISM GOLD! I immediately sent a text to the "subject" to confirm the report and to tell "subject" that I would be posting a blog about this news.

Because inquiring minds will want to know and those same inquiring minds will need time to process this before Sunday. You can't just let this all out on a Sunday morning without any warning! People would not be able to focus on the sermon if I didn't get this out now.

I can't wait to hear what you think.

Meet your "hip", "trendy", "Chipped out" Pastor!

I heard he even bought some product.

If I remember correctly a few years back our hip, trendy Pastor Chip's wife went shopping for Pastor Tom and for a few weeks he sort of did look hip, trendy and "chipped out." But it really didn't last long.

So the question is: will this new hip, trendy, Chipped out hair do last?

Only time will tell! :)

Now he just needs some bronzer on the forhead, and he'll be all set!

And some really cool necklaces...

and then some realy cool glasses...

and a gotee...

then he would really be hip and trendy.

I think the most funny thing about this post is how everyone is posting comments anonymously. Looks like no one wants to get kicked out of church.

I myself will not believe such news until I see it with my own eyes in person. I know the miracles of photoshop..... happens all the time in US Weekly.

Nice hair, PT!

I was going to be brave like Sonja, but then realized that these are all going to be read from the pulpit. I'll just stick with anonymous.

When I saw him yesterday morning, I thought he had jogged to the office and was just sweaty. I didn’t realize that was product in his hair!! He’ll have to get Chip to show him how to use it so it doesn’t look like he just got out of the pool. :-)

Ok, so yesterday morning, Tom looked at his beloved comb (the comb NO ONE TOUCHES) and a voice came through the A/C vents..."Put the comb down! Step away from the comb. Don't even think about touching that comb." It was downright scary!!

My first thought was "how funny. everyone is posting anonymously." then i saw that sonja said it already... oh well. i'm writing it again. :)

i saw him on Tuesday. asked if he was trying to be like Pastor John and look like George Clooney or something. :)

Nice. You always look great when your stylist fixes your hair. I assume PT went to a stylist and not a barber! The true test will be when he styles it himself. ;) It's got to have a few highlights to truly be "Chipped out".

I have laughed out loud at the jabber created by this minimal alteration of hairdo. I myself an am extremist in makeover, but I must applaud his subtle break from his tradition is laudible. I know he has the drive to make it stick and even electrify more stimulating banter. PDiddy

I found it amusing that he made a point of telling me the "product" he purchased only cost $6.

Of course.
