It seems that some people seem to think that I'm a picky eater. In fact,
some people might have been a little humored by the thought of me eating
who knows what for ten days on another continent. So, I thought I would share a few pictures of our outing to experience a traditional Ethiopian meal.
Me at the all you can stand buffet.
Our Ethiopian friends would title this one...
good for me, not for you.
That's not a taco buffet. That red stuff is raw meat.
I bet Tabby wrapped that piece of bread up and stuck it in her purse to make a peanut butter sandwich later. Thankfully, she had some peanut butter crackers to pass across the table. Every time I walk down the peanut butter aisle in the grocery store, I think of Tabby.
Two Americans...thinking outside the bun and hoping Tabby has more crackers.

"Some people" are laughing and feeling completley justified.
I think those lights dimming were a gift from above...just in time to bust out the handy pb crackers. May not be able to live by bread alone, but a piece of white bread from breakfast and a little pb go a long way to make a girl happy in Africa...LOL. Why did we not get a pic of Sumer eating a plate full of this stuff (the night before a 17hr plane ride home)? That girl was a brave one!!
This made me laugh so much! I appreciate this post so much more than I would have 2 weeks ago :)
OK - I must admit that I found great confrot in thinking if Big Nanny can survive Africa, so can I! =) I am sure you missed your buttered bread and Swiss Cake Rolls.
Thanks for the laugh and preparation!
Love,
Tracey
