Breaking News Rocks Local Church

Big news for all of my TSC readers...

This is the kind of church news that people will be talking about for years to come. The kind of news that causes the parishioners to get on the phone and talk. And TSC is just like any good southern baptist church...news travels fast. Why, it was just yesterday afternoon that I received this blog tip via an email from an "unknown" source.

The email subject line stated these very words: "Girl, I've got something for you to blog about!"

I think the "unknown" source knew that things have been a little slow around here and that I needed this tip. It's just like when those National Enquirer paparazzi people get a phone call tip saying where Brangelina is...JOURNALISM GOLD! I immediately sent a text to the "subject" to confirm the report and to tell "subject" that I would be posting a blog about this news.

Because inquiring minds will want to know and those same inquiring minds will need time to process this before Sunday. You can't just let this all out on a Sunday morning without any warning! People would not be able to focus on the sermon if I didn't get this out now.

I can't wait to hear what you think.

Meet your "hip", "trendy", "Chipped out" Pastor!

I heard he even bought some product.

Summer Camp

The Lil'Nanny was at Cross Camp this past week and we're glad to have her home. Lawnmower Man and I spent all our grocery money touring the various restaurants in our area, and I now have a few extra pounds to lose. I really needed her to come home so I could wear my new swimsuit before I out grew it:)

I've done 3 loads of stinky, damp laundry. She came home without 1 fitted sheet, 1 bath towel & some washclothes. She did come home with 2 tank tops and 3 Cross Camp shirts that do not belong to her. How does one lose a fitted sheet? It's mint green in case anyone has it.

This is my happy camper at pick up time. She had a great time. Thank you to Melissa & Ashley for taking care of my baby. I appreciate Melissa for saving her life on the kayak trip, and Ashley for dealing with her tears when she wasn't feeling good. She has been very chatty since she got home. Was she not allowed to talk at camp?

This was her surprise when she came home. She had been wanting this for a while now, so I decided to do this while she was gone. I might be taking this monogram thing a little too far.
